Kafue National Park is one of the largest national parks in the whole of Africa. Despite its size and prominent location only two hours drive from Livingstone, it remains little – known and largely unexplored with vast tracts of its virgin bush still untouched. Thanks to its size and variety of habitat types the Kafue holds a fantastic diversity of wildlife.
Mukambi Safari Lodge, is situated right on the banks of the Kafue River, with direct access to the Kafue National Park. The lodge consists of comfortable en-suite chalets and a luxurious riverside villa with a private riverside deck, as well as four luxury classic safari tents, all overlooking the river. All-in-all, Mukambi has 32 beds. Centrally located is the Boma (Restaurant/bar), theswimming-pool, as well as several decks that also have spectacular views of the river. Mukambi is famous for its excellent cuisine, friendly staff and highly experienced rangers.
This small, intimate camp has just 4 luxury en-suite permanent tents under thatched roofs with their own verandahs and hammocks, each one overlooking the river. The main communal area has an open sided dining room with a small lounge and bar for an alfresco dining experience.
It’s location affords fabulous views down the Kafue River in the daytime and often hippo or antelope can be seen grazing on the banks. In the evenings your three course meal is served in a cosy atmosphere with candles and lanterns.
Nestled on the banks of the Iteshi Teshi lake, in the Heart of Zambia, Konkamoya Lodge. This exclusive lodge consists of just 5 luxurious safari tents, and can accommodate a maximum of 15 guests. Surrounded by beautiful tress, each of the 5 en-suite safari tents provides guests with a place to relax. Guests are treated to a sitting room, comfortable bed and hot and cold running water.
The camp itself comprises of just four very well appointed ‘Machaba’ safari tents, complete with comfortable beds, soft linens and locally sourced wooden furnishings. Small, extra touches ensure Musekese is quite unlike any other camp in the Kafue. Open air en-suite bathrooms come with traditional wood warmed bucket showers and flushing toilets, combining style with practicality for a comfortable stay. The main lounge area at Musekese is under a cool grass thatch roof, providing shade in the heat of the day where guests can relax with a book from the library or an ice cold drink (or both!).
