Picture Perfect Safari accommodations

If you have a keen interest in photography we strongly recommend Kaingo or Mwamba bush camp or both! They can even be combined with a 7km walking safari between the two.

Photographic hides are a unique feature of these camps. Mwamba has a hide on the premises with two viewing levels. There are five photographic hides located in their game drive area that guests can visit at any time during their stay on request.

The camps are also well equipped to take care of our photographers and provide specialist bean bags, dust covers and charging facilities.

Kaingo is set on prime river frontage; it has 6 chalet that front directly onto the river, each with its en-suite bathroom, outdoor bath tub with a private view of the river, and of course each chalet has its own private deck to sit and watch all the action that happens right in the Luangwa River.

Kaingo Camp offers an amazing star bed to their guests; The Elephant Hide Star Bed, a beautiful raised viewing point over the Luangwa River from where guests can view elephants crossing and the most amazing sunrises.

Mwamba Bushcamp is a truly authentic safari experience; it has 4 Thatch Chalets, with their own private outdoor bathrooms (a truly magical experience), each with its own secluded viewing point of the Mwamba River.

Mwamba takes only 6 guests in 3 reed and thatch chalets, uniquely designed with two soaring skylights (protected by mosquito gauze) set into the roof allowing you to experience sleeping under the stars.

Mwamba also offer a star bed; The Numbu Star Bed is located in the center of Numbu Plains; a vast open area with a 360-degree view, its primer location gives guests the opportunity to view both sunset, sunrise and the most amazing stars.

Both Kaingo and Mwamba cater for Kapanda Lagoon camp outs, which are great for groups or families wishing to enjoy an African sleep outs. It’s suggestive location, complimented with a traditional meal, storytelling by their guides, and all that separates you and the rest of the bush is a mosquito net.
