A trip that oozes luxury taking you through the best of Zambia, finishing with a refreshing visit to Lake Malawi all at four beautiful resorts. This itinerary offers a high end luxurious adventure but is just an example to give you an idea of what we can offer. We would be happy to tweak this trip to make it the perfect trip for you.
Arrive Livingstone International Airport where you will be met by your driver for the transfer to The Royal Chundu.
The Royal Chundu is situated on its own private section of the Zambezi, making it a hidden gem of untouched beauty, just some 30km from the Victoria Falls.
Depending on your mood; spend your days at the wondrous Victoria Falls, go for a morning boat cruise on the Zambezi or ask the team to assist you in organising white water rafting or a swim in the Devil’s Pools (both seasonal activities). Why not canoe up the river and have your own private picnic on the riverside? With such a choice of activities on offer you could always just sit back and relax with a sundowner!
After Breakfast and some morning relaxation, you will be taken to Livingstone airport for your private charter flight to the Royal Airstrip in Lower Zambezi, via Lusaka for the next stage of your Zambian adventure. You will arrive at your next destination, Chongwe River House in time for a drink in under the sunset and a wonderful 3 course meal prepared by your personal team of chefs.
The award winning and uniquely designed Chongwe River House stands on the banks of the magical Chongwe River, close to the Zambezi, and with a sensational view of the dramatic mountainous escarpment beyond. This area is famous for huge male elephants which you can view from your rooms and sitting decks. There are activities a-plenty so whether you want a private game drive, canoe safari, walk or fishing trip they can all be organised.
After breakfast time you will be transferred to the Royal Airstrip airport for your flight to Mfuwe via Lusaka. You’ll arrive at your next lodge, the wildly luxurious Chinzombo just in time for lunch. Notably Chinzombo brings heightened levels of comfort, style and elegance previously unseen to the Luangwa Valley. With no set safari routine, you are able to set your own pace here. Enjoy game drives or walking safaris with our award winning guides, or sit back and relax on your deck and allow nature come to you. With a private plunge pool, plenty of lounge area, massive bathrooms with luxurious spa amenities, Chinzombo is a truly exclusive end to the safari section of your holiday.
After breakfast in the bush it is time for one last game drive through the park, to the Mfuwe Gate, which will take about 2-3 hrs, and is where you will meet our guide to drive you to Mfuwe Airport. Here you will get your 1 hr flight to Lilongwe where you will catch a short 1 hr connecting flight to your next destination within Lake Malawi, the beautiful Likoma Island and Kaya Maya resort. Sit back, relax and enjoy the next few days in paradise. Make the most of the incredible snorkelling, crystal clear waters, fascinating birdlife, diverse flora and fauna, and stunning sunsets.
We hope you’ve had a fantastic holiday! After breakfast it’s time to catch your flight from Likoma Island back to Lilongwe for your onward journey…
