Premium Beach and Bush Safari Adventure

LOWER ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK, SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE MALAWI NATIONAL PARK

This itinerary offers a luxury getaway giving you the best of a safari and lake adventure. It combines the incredible Lower Zambezi, stunning South Luangwa National Park and magical Lake Malawi while visiting some of our more luxurious lodges. While this option shows a more luxurious level it is also just an example of what we can offer. We would be happy to tweak this trip to make it the perfect trip for you.

Day 1 - 3: Waterberry, Livingstone

One of our representatives will meet you at Livingstone airport and transfer you to your accommodation.

35 minutes from Livingstone in a lovely, secluded position on the banks of the spectacular Zambezi River with views to the Zambezi National Park on the opposite bank. This small, friendly, informal lodge is famous for its staff, food, gardens and tranquil riverbank setting.  Within easy reach of Victoria Falls but away from all the hustle and bustle of Livingstone it’s a perfect base for visiting the amazing Falls and enjoying the wide range of activities around Livingstone before heading off to explore wonderful Zambia.

Day 3 - 6: Potato Bush Camp, Lower zambezi

Our guide will meet you at Royal Zambezi airport. Enjoy spectacular views from the air as you fly over the hills bordering the Zambezi River. On arrival at Royal Airstrip, you will be transported to Potato Bush Camp, which is idyllically set on one of the best spots along the Zambezi River.

Potato Bush Camp lies adjacent to it’s sister camp, the world-renowned Sausage Tree Camp. With a stunning panoramic view overlooking the Zambezi River and escarpment, this site is nestled under Mahogany, Sausage, Winter Thorn and Acacia Tortillas Trees, which provide excellent shade. Potato Bush Camp is comprised of three well-appointed Canvas and Rosewood Safari Tents and also a 2-bedroom Family Tent.

Day 6 - 8: Nkwali, South Luangwa

From the Royal Airstrip you will catch your flight to Lusaka where you will be met ahead of your connecting flight to Mfuwe – our gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. On arrival you will be transported to one of Nkwali bush camp with an approximate transfer time of 2-4hrs, most of which is a game drive through the national park. Here you will settle into your luxury home in the bush for the next 2 nights on the doorstep of an amazing array of wildlife. Make your choice to venture out on foot for a renowned walking safari, an experience like no other, or experience the park on a traditional game drive, either way make sure you enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets with a sundowner in hand.

Day 8 - 10: Tena Tena, South Luangwa

It is now time to experience another of South Luangwa’s great camps, Tena Tena. Situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector, Tena Tena is nestled under a magnificent thick grove of mahogany trees. On a double tiered river bank, each room enjoys its own private view onto the river.

Tena Tena when translated means ‘temporary home’ and this is the feeling they have tried to emulate throughout the camp but with a twist of luxury and comfort.

Day 10 - 12: Mumbo Island, Lake Malawi

Next stop is the incredible Mumbo Island in Lake Malawi. After breakfast in the bush it is time for one last game drive through the park, to the Mfuwe Gate which will take about 2-3 hrs. From here our guide will drive you to Mfuwe airstrip where you will catch a flight to Lilongwe and then on to Mumbo Island. Enjoy the next few days in paradise being as active or as relaxed as you like. Be sure to make the most of the incredible snorkelling, crystal clear waters and fascinating bird life.

Day 12 - 15: Pumulani, Lake Malawi

To complete this amazing break you will spend your final nights at Pumulani.

Relax on the white sandy beach or enjoy an elevated view of the lake from the stylish infinity pool. For those seeking some activity they offer waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, walks in the hills, sunset cruises on a handbuilt dhow and snorkling and diving.

Pumulani offers the perfect mix for a memorable holiday. Enjoy being active or simply relax in the beautiful and tranquil scenery. The perfect place to end any holiday.
